Preslie is 1!!
Today is Preslie's Birthday and I think I am in shock! I know this is a common theme to my blog..Where does time go? But I am always just so amazed at how quickly life is flying by! This year especially. I think we have just been too busy to really appreciate it. We built and moved into a new house, Jarom started a new job, we bought a restaurant, Bailey started Kindergarten, Addi started Pre-school, Preslie started everything, even walking...I could go on and on. I just want to freeze life just like this! I love my sweet children so very much. They are all in the cutest stages of life. Man, Life is GOOD!!

Warning!! Very Scary!!!

Recently someone had to have their 5-year old German Shepherd dog put down due to liver failure. The dog was completely healthy until a few weeks ago, so they had a necropsy done to see what the cause was. The liver levels were unbelievable, as if the dog had ingested poison of some kind. The dog is kept inside, and when he's outside, someone's with him, so the idea of him getting into something unknown was
hard to believe. My neighbor started going through all the items in the house. When he got to the Swiffer Wetjet, he noticed, in very tiny print, a warning which stated 'may be harmful to small children and animals.' He called the company to ask what the contents of the cleaning agent are and was astounded to find out that antifreeze is one of the ingredients (actually, he was told it's a compound which is one molecule
away from antifreeze). Therefore, just by the dog walking on the floor cleaned with the solution, then licking its own paws, it ingested enough of the solution to destroy its liver.
Soon after his dog's death, his housekeepers' two cats also died of liver failure. They both used the Swiffer Wetjet for quick cleanups on their floors. Necropsies weren't done on the cats, so they couldn't file a lawsuit, but he asked that we spread the word to as many people as possible so they don't lose their animals.
This is equally harmful to babies and small children that play on the
floor a lot and put their fingers in their mouths a lot.
PLEASE, EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE BABIES, SMALL CHILDREN OR OWN A PET;
TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW! YOU MAY NOT HAVE ANY CHILDREN OR PETS BUT SOME OF YOU HAVE FRIENDS OR FAMILY WITH PETS AND ALSO FAMILIES WITH GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

Bye Bye Tonsils!!
My sweet little Addisen had to have her tonsils out this week. I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am of her! She was so brave! We had to be to the Hospital at 5:30am on Monday. The nurse took her weight, height, blood pressure ect. and then gave her the hospital jammies to put on. She definitely wasn't excited about those itchy hospital clothes. After that they gave her some "happy juice" which made it easier for her to be taken away from us to prepare her to have the anesthesia. After about 5 minutes of drinking the "happy juice" medicine she started acting so funny! She was making the silliest noises and saying the funniest things...that's when you need your movie camera for Americans Funniest Home Videos! After that they took her back to remove her Tonsils and Adenoids, I sat and waited for her to come to her room after the surgery, and I know that it is a very common and routine surgery, but it still felt like forever before they brought her to me. She was just such a sweet heart and so brave,(much braver than me that is for sure!!) I hope that now she won't be so sick and will be able to sleep better!

Sorry about the quality of this picture, it was taken with my cell phone before they took her back for the surgery.

Prayers are answered!
I am so excited! Jarom and I have really been stressing about finances lately as I'm sure most everyone has been. But with the economy slowing down, it has really slowed down at the Deli, and at the Credit Union. So we have been trying to think of ways to stretch our money and make things work. We have been fasting and praying for something to work out for us. I made a phone call to my old boss at a Medical Billing Office I used to work at before I had Bailey, I asked if they had anything I could do from home. (After I had Bailey they let me do Billing from home, but I stopped when Bailey was about 8 months old). Anyways, they called me back and said they would set me up to work from home again. I couldn't believe it! What an answer to our prayers! I have to go in next week and spend a day training in the office. It is going to be so weird! I haven't worked in an office for 6 years! So I'm pretty nervous but at the same time very excited! After that training I will be ready to start at home. It will be great, I will work when the kids are at school and when they are in bed! It will only be part time, and I won't have to ever go to the office, they said when we have staff meetings they will just conference call me! Can you believe it!!!
Cheer Clinic
Bailey and my niece Alexis did a cheer clinic this last week. They had so much fun! They got to go to the High School on Saturday and spend all day with the Cheerleaders learning some cheers, after the day was over we got to go and watch them preform them. Then at a Basketball game half time during the week they got to perform them again. It was fun watching them!

Bailey's Birthday
Bailey is now 6 years old! I know I say this all the time but seriously...where has time gone? I can't believe Bailey is 6! We are so proud of her she is such a wonderful little girl! She is so sweet and so special to us we are so lucky to be her parents! She is doing very well at school, she loves Math, is learning to tell time, and is now reading! For her Birthday this year as a family we went out to dinner and ice cream. She opened her presents up from family at the restaurant, and then the next day she had a friend Birthday party! She had about 10 friends over for a Hannah Montana themed party. It was lots of fun, we played games, opened presents, and decorated cupcakes! Bailey is so lucky to have such great friends!

Christmas 2008
We had a busy Christmas this year! We had Jarom's whole family staying with us for a week (except for one brother Tyler who is on his mission). It was so much fun! We played lots of games ate lots of food and of course laughed a lot! It was sad to see everyone go, but at the same time, exciting to start a new year! Here are some pictures of our fun family filled week!
