Christmas 2008

We had a busy Christmas this year! We had Jarom's whole family staying with us for a week (except for one brother Tyler who is on his mission). It was so much fun! We played lots of games ate lots of food and of course laughed a lot! It was sad to see everyone go, but at the same time, exciting to start a new year! Here are some pictures of our fun family filled week!

What we've been up to .....

I haven't done a post for a while because things have been so crazy! So I thought I would just quickly catch every one up with what we've been up to.
November flew by! We have been really busy at the Deli with people out Christmas shopping, so Jarom and I have spent a lot of time there helping out when we can.
We also had two Thanksgiving dinners here at our house! Thursday we had my family over. I was so much fun, my cute nephew Brayden beat me at a serious game of floor checkers but don't worry I'll get you next time Bray!! Then on Friday we had Jarom's family over! Well everyone Except for his Parents and Brother who live in Cali. and his other Brother who is on his mission. It was a lot of fun. We had a ton of kids running around and of course tons of food and games! I love Thanksgiving! We all definitely have a lot to be Thankful for don't we!!!
After Thanksgiving every one in the house took a turn being sick! I hate flu and cold season! I already can't wait for Spring and Summer!!!!
Quick update on my girls: Bailey is loving school! She is such a little smartie I am so proud of her. She is also taking dance and gym out of those 3 things she can't decide what she loves more. She even has a neighbor friend who is teaching her dance as well (Kaitlyn Bradshaw) which is probably one of her highlights of the week! Addisen is loving Preschool as well, but hey when you have such a great teacher (Kymm Shaw: Oops A Daisy) of course she loves it! She is also taking dance and is doing very well! Preslie is such a cute little monster. She is almost ready to walk. She is getting more and more brave everyday! She has been taking a few steps to things, I just have to say she is too young (9 months)! Well I guess she just wants to keep up with everyone!
Now we are getting ready for Christmas, I can't believe it's next week. We are having Jarom's family here for Christmas (his Parents and everone else!) They are getting here on Saturday, It will be busy but lots of fun. We haven't seen them for 6 months! Merry Christmas everyone! Here is a slide show of the past 2 months! Enjoy!

Halloween 2008!

Halloween was extra fun this year! Instead of having kids go door to door, our neighborhood has what is called Trunk or Treating night on Halloween. Everyone who would like to drives their car over to the main street in our subdivision and opens their trunk and the kids just walk up and down that street trunk or treating! It was so much fun the kids loved it. What I loved about it is it only took about an hour, which left us plenty of time to go make all the other rounds that we had to make to family!

Bailey was a "Princess Pirate" this year (of course princess has to be attached!)

Addisen was a Super Girl! She was definitely the prettiest Super Hero I've ever seen!

Preslie was a Leopard! Roar!! It definitely suits her!!

I was able to go help out at Bailey and Addisens classes for their Halloween parties it was so much fun!
Bailey's Kindergarten class

Addisen's PreSchool Class

We went and visited all the Grandparents, this is the girls Great Grandmother "Gramdma McNally" (my grandmother).

Here are the girls with their cousins, Brayden (the football player) and Teagen (the Basketball player)

Preslie attacking Teagen's face! She sure does have a good grip!

At the conclusion of our night we went to the Deli because we all realized we hadn't eaten a single meal since breakfast!(we sure had plenty of junk food!) OOPS!

HALLOWEEN CANDY RECALL!!

I just received an email from a friend regarding a recall on Halloween candy! She checked into it and found out that it is true so I wanted to pass the info on to all of you! (THANKS MELINDA)

There is a new warning put out by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency....
Sherwood brand Pirate's Gold Milk Chocolate coins are being recalled due to
the fact that they contain Melamine, the ingredient in milk product that has
caused many infant deaths in china..
These candies are sold at Costco, as well as many bulk and dollar stores.
please make sure to check your childrens halloween candy and DO NOT LET THEM
EAT THE PIRATE COINS (you know the ones wrapped in the shiny gold foil)
and please let other parents know about this!

A few of my Many Quirks...

I thought I should just let Jarom write this one because I know he probly knows them better than me because if you ask me I don't thinks they are quirks, I just think every one else is crazy for not thinking like I do when it comes to these things...
1. I hate having blankets bunched up on my feet! I only like to sleep with 2 blankets, the sheet and a second light blanket ( I am always hot at night), but Jarom is always cold, so he likes the comforter, well this creates a problem seeing how we share a bed and all...so I generally just double the comforter up on his side but then he is too hot, well eventually it is just kicked to the foot of the bed, but you better believe that I won't allow that blanket to be touching my 3/4 of the king sized bed or else!!! Seriously if that blanket is just slightly touching my leg or feet I freak out...I feel like my feet can't breath and I can't move or get comfy. So Jarom knows that before he can lay down he has to inspect the blankets and make sure that I can move around and not have any interference from that darn blanket!!
2. I hate when cupboard doors are left open. If I am in another room or the same room and I see a drawer or cupboard door open I have to get up and shut it that instant! It just drives me crazy...I feel like it is as if you left your zipper down on your pants or forgot to button up your shirt! I try to resist the urge when I am at someone else's house but I find the urge is just too strong. So please don't be offended if I am at your house and I start shutting things!
3. I do sign language when I am listening to someone talk or watching commercials. I don't know sign language very well, but I learned the alpha bet when I was a little girl...and it has just stuck with me. So sometimes I find my self signing what people are saying as they are talking to me. I do it with my hand down by my side so it's not that noticeable, but of course Jarom notices it and gives me a hard time for it.
4. I also like to fill my cheeks up with air. What? Weird I know, or is it? Maybe you are just weird for not doing it? Well, I have very stretchy cheek skin I guess, because I can make one heck of a monkey face, people have often told me that I should have probably taken up trumpet playing because of this. But I find that sometimes It just feels good to stretch out that skin. So if you see me driving down the street with a monkey face briefly I'm just stretching out my cheek skin...ok!
5. When I am writing my bills out or doing something that requires a great deal of focus, I have to have my feet raised off the ground. I know that I have done this since childhood, my thigh muscles would always be sore after coloring a picture, because the whole time my legs would be stuck straight out in the air. I have gotten a little better with age, I can just link my ankles and hold my feet up just as long as they don't touch the ground then that will do.
6. I am terrified of spiders! I was reading a friends blog and found that she too has the same phobia related quirk as me! I am always scanning the ground and carpet for spiders, I always swear that I saw some movement and I make Jarom go on a spider hunt, it doesn't matter if it is in middle of a movie, I make him turn on the lights and make sure I wasn't just seeing things (which I usually always am, I think 99.9% of the time I am.) If I grab a blanket to snuggle up in, I have to or I make Jarom shake it out before I will use it, I also always have to check my shoes before I put them on! Oh how I hate spiders! Aren't you itchy all over just thinking about them.
7. I also have sympathy pain for people. I tends to settle in my neck! I don't know why but if someone gets hurt or I see some sort of injury on TV. I find my self holding my neck and suddenly feeling pain in it.

I thinks I have probably embarrassed myself enough for now, even thought I'm sure I could think of 100 more things to add!!!

Count Your Blessings!!!

I don't even know how to begin this post other than to say I am glad I am not doing this from a hospital bed! This morning I had to run to the grocery store to pick up some groceries that I didn't make it home with last night (left a few bags), and on my way back I was going 40mph down one of our busier streets in town and a lady must have thought her light was green and turned right in front of me...I immediately blasted my horn and jerked my steering wheel to the left, all I could hear was screeching tires and screaming kids! We luckily missed this lady by seconds... I have to say it was the closest call I have ever had, and I had my most important treasures on board with me...all 3 of my beautiful little girls! I have to take some time to thank my Heavenly Father for watching over us and protecting us this morning! So often I get caught up in our daily schedule that I don't take the time to recognize all the things I am blessed with on a daily basis!
Right after that happened my girls were really shaken up and Bailey said "Mom, we were protected because there are angels around us all the time." I know that is true, but I also know that unfortunate things still happen to people all the time, so we do need to remember to take time each day and Thank our Heavenly Father for the many blessings we receive every day, even if you feel like things aren't going so well, just think about the fact that you were able to wake up this very morning and take a breath of air to spend another day with the ones you love!

Some more first's!!

Bailey lost her first tooth! I must admit, I cried a little, this little tooth was the very first tooth that came in, she is my oldest so of course this is all new to me, and I must admit, I want that tooth to go back in, I don't want her to keep growing up like this. I know she just started Kindergarten but if time keeps going by this fast, I swear I will wake up tomorrow morning and it will be her first day of High School! AHHHHHH!
She was so cute about this whole tooth ordeal! A few days ago she came up to me and said "Mom what's this?" She was rubbing her tongue on something in her mouth, so i said "I don't know open up and lets take a look", my first reaction was something like, "What the Heck!!!!!!!!!!!!" There was her adult tooth just jettin up behind her baby tooth, It looked so freaky. I could tell I was kinda scaring her so I tried to calm down as fast as I could and I said "oh, it looks like your getting a big kid tooth", I had no clue it was there! Her tooth has been loose for a while but not loose enough to yank out. I remembered this happening to my nephew so i called my Brother and Sis in law and asked them what they had to do, they said just wiggle the baby tooth til it comes out, then go see a dentist, but that the tooth should move into place as soon as the other one comes out and it has room.
Well, on Sunday afternoon Jarom and I talked Bailey into letting us wiggle her tooth and try to get it out. She wanted us to do it, but didn't want us to Yank... so we both just took turns wiggling at it trying to get it looser, At one point when I was working on it she said "Just get it out mommy! So I gave it a good yank, and sure enough out it came, at that instant I had a flood of emotions, I know it sounds silly, but I started to cry a little, along with Bailey. I think we both were so shocked and surprised we didn't know how to react. Here are some pictures...

The other first was Preslie eating real baby food! Peas to be specific, unfortunately nobody in this house likes Peas, but Preslie sure did, it was so cute. I'm sure if she could talk she would say, "What the Heck Mom, this is disgusting, give me some chocolate." But until then I guess I will keep crammin' the healthy stuff down her throat!

Keepin' Busy!

I just finished painting our bedrooms! Here are a few pics.

Preslie is 6 months old!!

I know I keep saying this, but time sure does fly by. I can't believe Preslie is 6 months old now. I seriously feel like we just came home from the hospital a few days ago. She is such a joy to have in our family! I couldn't have asked for a better baby. I think I have to say she is perfect, or at least as close to perfect as humanly possible! She is rolling all over now, and is even starting to crawl! I'm definitely not ready for that, luckily she has 2 big sisters who help me keep an eye on her.

Addisen's first day of Preschool!

Addi started preschool this last week and loves every minute of it! She looks so cute with her little backpack on! It is so fun to see her grow up and be brave and independent!

First Day of Kindergarten!!

I can't believe it's here! Bailey has started Kindergarten. I remember talking about this day when she was born thinking that is was so far away, but time sure has flown by and now she is off to school with the big kids. She was so excited! She is doing afternoon kindergarten so all morning she was pacing around the house saying "is it time yet?" When we got there she just marched right up to the other kids lined up and turned around and said "See you later mom!" I couldn't believe it! I wanted to cry for her, but there were too many people around so instead I just grabbed my camera and took pictures! She loved her first day, I know that she will do just fine! I am so proud of her!!

Growing up!!

Preslie is growing up so fast. I can't believe she is almost 6 months old. Seriously this first year goes by way to fast! Here are some pictures of cute things she has been doing!

Lights, Camera, Action.....

Jarom is the VP of Members Preferred Credit Union and they needed a couple of cute little actresses to be in their upcoming commercial, so naturally we had a few suggestions for them!! The girls were so excited to be on the commercial, they couldn't wait to see themselves on TV. Aren't they just gorgeous?

Summer Vacation

As a family we decided to go to Cherry Hill campground in Kaysville, Utah for our summer vacation, something that I grew up doing probably every summer as a little girl. It has a fun water park and miniature golf area, as well as a camping area. However, we opted not to camp this year because Preslie being so little, and now unfortunately experiencing it both ways I don't know if I will ever camp there again. The luxuries of a nice soft bed, air conditioning, and a bathroom just a few steps away seems to be a necessity with three girls!
We played and played and played! It was over 100 degrees every day we were there so it was a good thing water was nearby.

While we were there Jarom told Bailey that if she could climb all the way to the top of The Rock he would pay her $1, needless to say she was very determined and got her dollar! You should have seen the look on her face when she reached the red bell and rang it. She was also very proud of herself, and for good reason too, I don't even know if I could have done it!

After playing at Cherry Hill for a few days we went to SLC for a couple of days to do some more swimming at the hotel pool, shopping- however my girls haven't learned to love shopping yet (to my disappointment and Jarom's approval) and go to the Hoogle Zoo.

Jarom's sister Desi met us at the Hoogle Zoo and hung out with us for the day. It was fun having her around, she is such a doll! We love her!

We also went to Temple square and walked around a bit, as much as we could handle in the heat, and went in to the visitors center where we saw the statue of Jesus Christ. My girls are so precious, they have very special little spirits, when they saw him they were amazed, you could just see it in their eyes. Almost every night they bless that Heavenly Father and Jesus will have a good nights sleep and that they will be able to eat healthy food like us!
We had a great time and are now trying to get ready for the new school year ahead!
