I don't even know how to begin this post other than to say I am glad I am not doing this from a hospital bed! This morning I had to run to the grocery store to pick up some groceries that I didn't make it home with last night (left a few bags), and on my way back I was going 40mph down one of our busier streets in town and a lady must have thought her light was green and turned right in front of me...I immediately blasted my horn and jerked my steering wheel to the left, all I could hear was screeching tires and screaming kids! We luckily missed this lady by seconds... I have to say it was the closest call I have ever had, and I had my most important treasures on board with me...all 3 of my beautiful little girls! I have to take some time to thank my Heavenly Father for watching over us and protecting us this morning! So often I get caught up in our daily schedule that I don't take the time to recognize all the things I am blessed with on a daily basis!
Right after that happened my girls were really shaken up and Bailey said "Mom, we were protected because there are angels around us all the time." I know that is true, but I also know that unfortunate things still happen to people all the time, so we do need to remember to take time each day and Thank our Heavenly Father for the many blessings we receive every day, even if you feel like things aren't going so well, just think about the fact that you were able to wake up this very morning and take a breath of air to spend another day with the ones you love!

That's scary! Glad you emerged unscathed. Every day truly is a blessing, makes all the other things we do to keep us busy seem pretty insignificant-eh? Hope you came home and had some chocolate to relieve the stress! ;-) PS--Caleb won a Scholtsky's card at the carnival today, that's where tonight's dinner will be. Yay! Thanks!!!
So true Brooke! We have also had some really close calls like that. Times when I think "There is no good reason why we are still alive after this incident other than the fact that Heavenly Father is protecting us!" And I truly believe that we have guardian angels watching out for us!
Thanks for the reminder to be grateful (and express it) every day!
I'm so glad you guys were safe. It IS so easy to forget to appreciate the blessings we recieve every day. Thanks for sharing your story.
How scary! That sort of thing can really make you reflect on how blessed you are, and definitely allows you to take time to thank your father in heaven. I'm so glad you guys are okay!
That is so scary. So sweet what Bailey said. I hate when you have close calls like that!
I am so glad you & your little precious children are ok. Sometimes those things really do make us stop and think about our blessings. Thanks for sharing.
You are going to love it when your girls are old enough to go out to dinner and be friends with their friends. It comes soon enough so just enjoy where you are. I love my girls being older but I absolutely loved it when they were little. Just try to enjoy every moment. Thanks for the comment.
Oh Brooke that is so true! I am glad you and your precious girls weren't hurt. Everyday is truly a blessing! And...I would love to see you while I am here. We will be here for another 3 weeks or so. Let's get in touch. I will look you up! :)
